Raising a family is not easy. It takes steadfast commitment and unwavering intention to stay true to the path you want to pave for your children. They learn by example from what they see, hear, and live each day and we can only hope they'll carry that legacy forward in their own way.
My own childhood was far from ideal. The path I grew up on pointed in the opposite direction of where I wanted to go. Thankfully, even at a young age, I knew there had to be something better - a life defined by love, safety, and truth. If nothing else, that difficult beginning taught me one thing: how not to raise a family.
Not long after high school, I met the girl of my dreams. After six years of cruising the back roads together, with music, laughter and eventually love - I married my best friend. We began building the life we both envisioned - one centered on love, integrity, and honesty. Four years into marriage, we decided it was time to grow our family.
First came our beautiful daughter - a vibrant light who changed our lives the moment she arrived. Three years later, we welcomed our son - full of life, energy, and warmth. One child each, just as we had hoped and prayed for. Our family felt whole.
Raising them has been one of the greatest joys of our lives. We poured our hearts into creating a home that nurtured their individuality, built confidence, and gave them a safe foundation to become the extraordinary adults they are today. Both have now found loving partners who share the same values and bring even more joy into our hearts.
Over the years, what began as a simple motto for our home evolved as our family grew. It started with just a few words and eventually became something that encapsulates our entire family philosophy:
- Real Love is Abundance.
- Real Love Nurtures Abundance.
- Real Love Nurtures Continuous Abundance.
- Real Love Nurtures Continuous Abundance and Joy.
- Real Love Nurtures Continuous Abundance, Joy and Resilience.
And that final version says it all:
Real Love Nurtures Continuous Abundance, Joy and Resilience.
What more could a parent wish for? It is truly a gift from God.
In September 2025, our daughter married her companion - a wonderful, kind, and warm-hearted man who fits seamlessly into our family. He is represented by the "J" in our family motto. Their wedding - a beautiful celebration with 120 of their closest friends and family - was unforgettable. It was a reflection not just of their love, but of the strength of the families that surrounds them.
As love would have it, our son proposed to the love of his life during the family Thanksgiving holiday weekend in Cape May. She too, brings warmth, love and excitment to our family. She is represented by the second "R" in our family motto. Their wedding plans for next year are already well under way.
2026 is looking to be another fun, love filled, year as 2025 was. My wife and I are so grateful for our family.
I created a song and a music video (with the help of AI) describing how my life changed after meeting the girl of my dreams. Click the below picture to go to that page if interested.
